Scriptures of Thanks

Here's a short litany I pulled together for Cedar Park's Thanksgiving service. Join us Thanksgiving morning at 10:00.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving
    and his courts with praise;
    give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
    his faithfulness continues through all generations. (Psalm 100:4,5)

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation,
  by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
  present your requests to God.
(
Philippians 4:6)

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts,
   since as members of one body
 you were called to peace.
 And be thankful.
Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly
  as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom

through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit,
  singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.

 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed,
    do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus
,
  giving thanks
 to God the Father through him. (Colossians 3:15-17)

Rejoice always, pray continually,

give thanks in all circumstances;

for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

Through Jesus, therefore,
    let us continually offer to God a sacrifice
 of praise—
  the fruit of lips
 that openly profess his name.
And do not forget to do good and to share with others,

 for with such sacrifices God is pleased.  (Hebrews 13:15,16)

Thanks be to God!

He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
  (1 Corinthians 15:57)

All the angels were standing around the throne
   and around the elders and the four living creatures.
They fell down on their faces before the throne
    and worshiped God, saying:

“Amen!
  Praise and glory
     and wisdom and thanks and honor
   and power and strength
    be to our God for ever and ever.
       Amen!”
 (Revelation 7:11,12)
